Return & Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read our return and refund policy carefully before placing your order.

Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. To be eligible, the item must be unused, uninstalled, and in its original condition and packaging. Returns requested after 30 days of delivery will not be accepted.

Eligible Items for Return

The following items are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery, subject to inspection:

  • Engines and gearboxes that are unopened and uninstalled
  • Items received in error (incorrect part sent by us)
  • Items that arrive visibly damaged or defective (must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence)

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Installed, used, or test-run engines, gearboxes, or any other components
  • Items returned more than 30 days after the delivery date
  • Items not in their original condition, missing original packaging, or showing signs of customer-caused damage
  • Special-order or custom-sourced parts ordered on customer request
  • Items purchased during clearance, liquidation, or explicitly marked as final-sale
  • Consumable items such as fluids, belts, filters, and seals

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please follow these steps:

  1. 1Contact our support team by email or phone within the 30-day return window with your order number and reason for return.
  2. 2If the item is damaged or incorrect, include clear photographs of the item and its packaging.
  3. 3Our team will review your request and issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number within 2 business days.
  4. 4Package the item securely in its original packaging and write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package. Do not ship the item without an RMA number — unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
  5. 5Ship the item to the return address provided by our support team using a trackable shipping method.

Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except where the return is the result of our error (wrong item sent) or the item arrived damaged. In those cases, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. We strongly recommend using a trackable freight or courier service and retaining proof of postage. Auto Parts & Engines is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome within 5 business days. If your return is approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. Please note that your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional time to reflect the credit in your account. We do not issue refunds in cash or by alternative payment methods.

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued at our discretion where a returned item is missing original packaging or accessories but is otherwise unused, or where the item shows minor handling not caused by shipping. The partial refund amount will be communicated to you before processing.

Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. If you require a different part, please return your original item for a refund (subject to eligibility) and place a new order for the correct unit. Our team is available to assist you identify the correct engine or gearbox for your vehicle before you order.

Warranty Claims

Warranty claims are handled separately from our standard return and refund policy. If your engine or gearbox develops a covered mechanical fault within the 3-month warranty period following professional installation, please contact our support team with your order number and proof of professional installation. Covered failures are assessed and resolved within 48 hours. Warranty cover does not apply to wear items, damage from improper installation, overheating due to a neglected cooling system, modifications, or racing use.
